The following was written by Lindsey Williams who organised the reunion – many thanks to Lindsey for putting it together, and thank you to all the attendees for the donation of surplus funds from the dinner to the club. Alumni who were part of CUSWPC around the year 2000 gathered on Saturday 3rd Jan 2026 to celebrate 25 years(ish) since we all trained and competed together. A total of 23 of us enjoyed dinner and drinks together at Jesus college and it was a brilliant opportunity to share memories and life stories that have evolved since we were last together.
People travelled from far and wide with Ruth (CUSWPC 1996-2000) and Jason Prince (CUSWPC 1999-2000) joining all the way from Boise, Idaho. We had representatives from both Men’s and Women’s swimming and water polo and most attendees still had their taddies colours.
The event was a chance to realise that although all our lives may be unrecognisable when compared with our university years the people living those lives remain reassuringly similar to those we knew during our time as active CUSWPC members.
We hope this event will be the first of many more!
