Dear CUSWPC Alumni,
I would like to introduce myself as the President of CUSWPC this year.
Over the past couple of years, successive CUSWPC Presidents have focussed on strengthening ties between current members and our alumni. Last year, President Isobel Firth and Tadpoles’ President Lydia Woodward made fantastic progress in reviving our alumni mailing list and hosted a hugely successful Tadpoles’ Dinner. The next step is to keep you up-to-date with the club’s news.
It is, therefore, with great pleasure that I attach CUSWPC’s first newsletter, which also includes key dates for the upcoming year and is in a suitable format to be printed as a magazine if you so wish.
Our goal is to produce a newsletter every year to summarise the club’s achievements. In the future, we would love to send you a paper copy; if this is something you would like to receive, please reply to this email with your mailing address.
I must also thank Lucy Morgan and Ruairi Hurson, our new Publicity Officers, for writing much of the content, and Vice-President Claudia Feng for all her hard work with the brilliant formatting. As this is our first edition, however, we would greatly appreciate any feedback, constructive or otherwise, on what we can do to make next year’s newsletter even better.
Additionally, our alumni mailing list is as yet incomplete, so I would be grateful if you could forward this to any of your old teammates who did not receive it, and let us know what email address you have so we can keep them updated in the future.
If you have any alumni-related queries, I advise you reply to me or contact our Tadpoles’ President, Lydia Woodward, at lw436@cam.ac.uk.
I look forward to seeing many of you at Varsity or the 2017 Tadpoles’ Dinner!
Kind regards,
Erik Sullivan
