There are a number of opportunities for Open Water swimming at Cambridge. Every two years, Oxford and Cambridge battle it out in the Varsity Channel Relay Swim – indeed a tough challenge. There is also the annual Varsity Henley Classic, a 2.1km open water river-swim, taking place in Henley at the end of June at dawn.

Members of the club also enjoy swimming together at Jesus Green Lido in the Easter Term, a beautifully cool 94m pool in the heart of Cambridge.

The Poseidon Club

The Oxford and Cambridge Open Water Swimming (and Extreme Sport) Club.

The Poseidon Club is an active society that meet for an annual dinner and acts to support current students in both CUSWPC and OUSC in open water swimming events, providing essential support such as funding and mentoring particularly to the Channel swim teams.
